The Chosen America - 11/3/07
This week has given me new insight into why this is a terrible country. The sheer audacity of the masses that reside here is enough to churn my stomach. I was in a heated discussion about illegal immigrants this week, and it is not a topic I usually care to enter because I know my thoughts are far different than most, but just how opposed I am to most stunned me this week. I was conversing about Governor Spitzer's plan to give illegal immigrants driver's licenses, and to me this is a fantastic idea. It would keep the roads safer, and provide more access for more jobs so they could work and pay taxes and become consumers and all in all, strengthen our failing economy. As long as they can pass the same driving test I and everyone else had to take, then they deserve to be able to drive. But oh wait, they are illegal the masses scream! Illegal? They are immigrants just like *all* American citizen's ancestors were. Should these people not have the human right to abandon their impoverished nation for the "land of opportunity" Should they not have, as a human right, every freedom that Americans enjoy? I know they should have them. Anyone with initiative should be able to have the same access to opportunities and freedom that I enjoy. Just because I was born in America does not mean I have any more right to success than someone born in Mexico or Haiti or Sudan or anywhere. American's need to learn that we are not the Chosen Country, we should not be elitist snobs and refuse impoverished immigrants who only want to better their standing in life.

Sadly Spitzer has backed down after overwhelming criticism fueled by the lunatic Lou Dobbs, and now he is moving towards conforming with the Real ID Act which is complete trash. I almost regret voting for him now that he's backed down from a noble position on civil liberties. Makes me want to slap him upside the head with a walrus cock.

6/13 Victims of Communism Memorial
Today a new memorial was opened in Washington. The Victims of Communism memorial was erected just minutes away from the US Capital. For a nation that treasures its tolerance and freedom of thought, they seem to be going pretty far out of their way to invoke hatred towards a mere idea that at its core is the kindest and most benevolent premise in history.
"Like the communists," Mr. Bush said, "the terrorists and radicals who attacked our nation are followers of a murderous ideology that despises freedom, crushes all dissent, has expansionist ambitions and pursues totalitarian aims. Like the Communists, our new enemies believe that the innocent can be murdered to serve a radical vision." Comparing the idea that everyone is equal and should be held as such, and the idea that communal good is more important then individualism to a "murderous ideology that despises freedom" is sickening. Erect a memorial to bash the failed leaders of Russia and the Criminals of China, do not further chastise Marx's great idea. After all, in the end, when the resources of the world are depleted from capitalist greed, and environmental sanctions against these corporate juggernauts fails due to purchased politicians, we shall see what the true evil of the world is. How many will die from capitalist greed compared to corrupted communism. Only time will tell.

6/9 Betrayal in the Bathroom!
The midnight excursion to the bathroom yielded marvelous results tonight, but there was something evil lurking there in the tiny room. The tp wasn't proper! Oh there was plenty of tp... but it was ancient boreal forest! I cant stand that super soft feeling of boreal fibre on my ass. It makes me feel terrible! I cannot even begin to state how much I despise the Kimberly Clark corporation (Kleenex/Scott Tissue) and they're continued transgressions against the ancient northern forests. The most beautiful and remote lands in the world are being destroyed for tissue paper by them, and people keep buying it! Even after they know what horrors the forest has suffered at the hands of evil companies like KC. And so what do I find when I go to grab the tp... noo not recylced tp.. but Scott! Oh how soft it is but oh how evil! Dont buy Scott damnit, and dont let others buy it either!

6/8 - 66% of Americans Retarded: Gallup Poll
Usually every day I read something that reaffirms my belief that most Americans, and humans in general for that matter, are retarded. Well, It appears that the epidemic of stupid is more widespread than I initially thought. A new Gallup Poll from USA Today has confirmed some of my worst fears. 66% of Americans believe in Creationism, of which 39% said 'its Definitely true' and 27% said it is Probably true. The poll then goes on to stat that 70% of people think that a presidential candidates views on evolution do not matter and should not be discussed as part of the campaign. Not only do they matter, but they are one of the primary benchmarks that a candidate should have to pass. Not believing in evolution and blindly accepting that an invisible monster created you and everything around you is incredibly ridiculous and proves a complete lack of logic and reason within someone's head. If a candidate said they reject evolution, then I contest that they reject science as a whole and wish to drive this nation further down the toilet. This poll lends me to believe our next president may end up like the following....

5/30 No School & No Work Make Bob Go Crazy...
It's 90 degrees out, I've got nowhere to be for a month, and my blood pressure is apparently 130/110. This is one boring life. For over a year I did nothing but sit around and do absolutely nothing.... but i try to do it for a week these days and I'm driven to the brink of insanity. I'd pickup a job but I dont think anyone would hire me for only 3 weeks. So instead, I sit here and consume...

And so without school and work I get bored and revamp this site, just like last year and the year before. Photography inc tonight.
-Someone donate me a new tripod plz :(

3/24/07 - Theres a Leak! Theres a Leak!
After having a few people ask me about this site in the past week, and the domain cash being due... I figured it was time to start updating it again.

So where to start? There are so many things going on from the trivial to the world shifting. Rat Poison in dog food? What the fucks the world come to. How does something like that slip by? Thats as bad as the twin towers being detonated by the Fed's and no one realizing it. Yah so I've done some reading--- Crossing the Rubicon among other books such as The Great Turning and Plan B 2.0. Some Quality reading there. Between those and my sustainable earth class I think I've got quite a handle on the world. From the insignificant trash that CNN passes off as news these days to the issues that will plague mankind for the next century or two. With all of this happening I can do nothing but sit back and listen to Tom Waits. I'm convinced that the song 'God's Away on Business' applies to todays world moreso than time.

Have a listen. Who are the ones we've put in charge? Killers Thieves and Lawyers!

5/8 - College is like... hard.
Fucking Seminar in Environmental Conservation fucking sucks. You have to be able to identify anything in New York in the class. Birds, insects, lizards, snakes, frogs, toads, salamanders, skulls, mammals, trees, flowers, shrubs, and the list goes on and on. Exact proper names too, none of that slang crap. I'm gonna end up having to take this damn class next year again :(

On the up side studying for it has me outside and taking pictures again, check out the gallery for some shots of some animals found on the FLCC campus

2/13 Digging our Grave
This week I started my unit on global sustainability in one of my conservation classes. The professor went around the room and had various people identify what they felt was the largest issue facing humankind right now, what was a huge problem? Peak Oil was obviously the first one listed as it should be, but other ones that were listed by students somewhat scared me. Forests being raped? Uhh no. Drought? Yah that kinda happens with la nina. Some people definatly had imaginative and intelligent thoughts to share though. Corruption in the media was at the forefront of one of our discussions. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 99% of the media outlets in the US are owned by 4 corporations. This really is a disturbing figure. These 4 corporations really do make the news while independent papers that run original articles are laughed at and called amateur. I can't once think of a serious article that even began to approach global sustainability issues in any major paper or news service. Depressing really....
In any case, this made me think what I believe to be the largest problem today. I think theres 2. First I believe the overwhelming apathy towards everything environmental is extremely discouraging. Simply put, no one cares. People are content with sacrificing our childrens future for a bigger car that chews through gas twice as fast. They are content buying bottled water imported from god knows where at 10,000 times the energy cost of sucking down some perfectly acceptable tap water. The media gives no attention to 'The Long Emergency' as its called. Oil can spike up to 70$ a barrel and you'll read about it on page 11 instead of page 1. Even yuppies who think they are environmentally friendly have no real idea about what is going on. No one grasps or cares to grasp the fact that within 25 years we are going to be cut off from energy and will have to revert back to small self sustaining communities. The cities will self destruct and so will the economy. The other major issue is the political system we have intact. In this capitalistic society where everyone is out to make a buck, conserving energy is about as popular as Bush is lately. A corporation can't be expected to act properly and set trends in saving instead of wasting when they cant make as large of a profit or expand as quickly in doing so because the next cutthroat will sieze the moment before he does. What motivation is there for any company to conserve? Zero. The entire market is designed around consumerism, your shit isnt good enough you must replace it to buy our shit we just imported from China. Corruption from the top down will always prevent anyone from doing the right thing. Anyone in a position that matters anyways. sigh i dont think I explained this the way I wanted to but one day I will.

In other wonderful news... Our beloved vice president Dick Cheney shot a republican activist in the face while quall hunting. I won't crack my own jokes about it... it's just far too easy. The silver lining is that this may help him be remembered as even more of an idiot than Dan Quayle. I will truely never understand how you can pull the trigger with your friends face in the ironsights.

Edit: Wow. I just saw he didn't even have a permit to hunt. So he sent a $7 check to the department to get the permit.. after the fact. If any other joe schmo did that the wildlife service would laugh at him and slap him with a violation and fine. And if anyone else ever shot a guy in the face and then didnt even have a permit to start with they'd get charged with Assault 3rd and written up for the no permit. Jeez. Fucking texans need to grow some balls when it comes to facing authority.

It's always a comforting feeling when I turn on the news and see senators pushing for Banning Gay Marriage or promoting the new trendy war with Iran instead of tackling a real issue.

1/11 McCarthyism Today
This week i had the pleasure of watching Good Night and Good Luck. It is the story about Edward Murrow and CBS news taking on Senator McCarthy in the 1950's when no one else would for fear of being accused of being a communist. I remember thinking about this subject years ago thinking how could they hold senate hearings about this, was America not free? I was under the impression we could support any political or religious group we desired. This is America after all. The story tells the downfall of McCarthy and it was solely because of the Media keeping the government in check. This has been the medias job for countless years, and is one of the mass medias finer moments.

Look at the Mass Media Today. Where was ABC, CBS, CNN, Foxnews(laugh) when we were gearing up to invade Iraq. Where are they now when we have the second vietnam rising up. They have been unobjective since day 1 about this entire matter, and now, as if berating the French, destroying Afganistan and Iraq, and ignoring genocide in Afirca wasnt enough, the media is targetting communism on an everyday basis. All you haveto do is flick on Lou Dobbs on CNN and every day you'll get half his show devoted to the Red Star Rising and how this is the cause of the strife for the middle class in america. He morphs the 2 subjects together so elequently. Communist Spies, propaganda, communist hackers stealing secrets, communists stealing american jobs, communists sending there faulty goods here. Communists stealing our money. It goes on and on and on. I'm sure Mr. Dobbs feels he's doing the country a service, enlightening us about the communist threat, trying to create a new cold war, but China nor Cuba nor Venezeula are our enemies. Maybe we should start attacking our own politicians about doing nothing about poverty. Maybe we should attack the AIDS pandemic. Or perhaps, just perhaps, we could try and remove our dependancy on foriegn oil instead of freaking out about China buying Oil up.

I know it isnt just Lou either. Countless others are starting the anti-china song. I overheard a conversation between two 40 somethings at my school about how Canadians were commies 'cause they were selling there sand oil to China! Oh NOES!!!! What a horrible thing. God forbid they get to drive cars like us and be as wasteful. I love how when another nation tries to become more like us they become demons.

1/10 - Site Updates
Well I've updated a bunch of the site and will continue to do so. I've added an area to put my junk up, and another area that will be sorta a biography, cause thats how bored I am during vacation. I'm also going to add a George Carlin esqe list of people who need to be beaten, like people who say 'lawl' while playing cs. Those people need to be shot with a large caliber rifle at close range. I also changed the gallery around so when you click on an image it autoloads into teh page with superfly tnt style. Thanks to http://huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox/ for that one. (it is superfly tnt do you not agree?) I think a comments section is going up shortly as well.

In better news, BOB HAS HEAT!!!!!!! For the first time in like, at least 4 years I have HEAT!!! Not hot water yet, but HEAT! Oh what a marvelous day this is. HEAT! HEAT!!!! Oh good grief its nice, a little too nice, i'm breaking a sweat just typing at 5am. Aye yi yi.

Has anyone else noticed no ones ever awake at 5am? This jackass i know named woe is the only guy up and thats not someone I can carry an intelligent conversation on with, i think I've seen small shrubs with more brain matter than he has. Oh wells. Hope he reads this and gets offended.

1/2
You know, after sitting here without anything to do all day long, no car to go anywhere, no classes to worry about, no planned human interaction to prepare for, I've decided that this is pretty damn boring. It's been over a year since I had the freedoms I used to love, the freedom of no obligations and no responsibilities. I've been looking back on those days with a divine reverance. I even wrote a personal story for english about last May. I'm not sure why I thought that was so wonderful back then anymore, but today I'm thinking it sucks. Sucks hard.

I hadn't really set a new years resolution yesterday, but I think I may. It won't be something as lame as the NYC PD guy I saw on tv last night saying he's going to pray for world peace as his resolution. That one had me gagging on a hot wing. I think my resolution is going to be broad and encompassing. I suppose you could say I improved my mind all of last year by going to school for a year and paying attention to the world around me. This year perhaps I'll pay attention to my body, and not just in the jacking off sense.

End of Days
The last day of 2005 has me reflecting what kind of year it has been...

I remember bringing in the new year last year sitting exactly where I am right now, in front of the same computer at the same desk in the same room of my New York home, alone. A great start to a great year. I can't remember what my cliche` resolution was last year... probably get laid. Well you dont need to be that close to me to know that one hasn't come true, so this year I think I may set something more feasable.

So what happened this year? Well I have a year of college completed with a 3.5gpa and a decent attendance record... far more than anyone ever anticipated. I have a goal in my life... to become a Forest Ranger or DEC officer. I even worked for the first time in my life, at a scout camp. I've met tons of new friends this year and made only a few enemies. Just the opposite of every other year in my life. I've found plenty of new hobbies from canoeing to photography, and I've even managed to get this site up and running.

I've also become somewhat disenchanted with the human race this year. The nation i've loved for a great portion of my life has become an ever increasing disgrace to the world and its intelligent citizens. From the mockery of a white house administration to the impeachable scandals to the false war to the disgusting response to the earthquake in pakistan and the hurricanes in the gulf. What a god awful year.

Speaking of god, he has sucked this year too. I think he fucking smited my car again and he's infested my brothers mind causing him to be more delirious then ever before. He also told some chick that i wasnt any good so she left me after like a day, before it even began. Harsh. Wheres teh fucking flying spaghetti monster when I need him.

Well thats all nice and wonderful but have I better'd myself as a person, have I grown spiritually or physically? Not really. Shitty year. In fact I think i've regressed farther back into my self loathing demonizing former self. JoygASM! So what to do in 2006. Well I'll graduate in 2006 probably... and odds are I'll be working far more as well, so how is 06 going to improve on 05? Odds are it wont but theres the off chance of meeting some money sucking head giving chick that could change that. Who knows.

Predictions: Gas Price to hit $4 a gallon, ANWR to be opened up for drilling killing teh poor caribouuuuu. Nation to become even more christian conservative. In God We Trust to remain on our money. Iraq war and disaster response morally bankrupt our nation. Dollar continues to slide into oblivion. One year closer to the giant comet of our demise. WEEE!

11/13 - Gallery Update
Check out the gallery sometime, I've added a slew of new shots in the past 2 weeks, some are worth looking at. I'm planning on getting the 'plans' and 'projects' section up this week and maybe work on a new litestep theme this thanksgiving. I'm sick of the one I've been using forever. I'm thinking a vintage/retro look are in order, or maybe something wintery. It's already been snowing out. Frigging not even thanksgiving yet. Check the Gallery & comment on the pieces at http://infectiouskarma.deviantart.com
